How easy is it to change dining from late to early on Solstice Alaska?

We are in the final booking stage of booking the Solstice for Alaska in late May. This is a last minute booking and there is no choice other than the late seating for dining? How difficult is it to move it to an earlier time once onboard? What are the other choices other than the speciality restaurants. Late seating just does not work for us. Tried it once.

If the other two MDR options (early and Select) are sold out you may not be able to change once on board. You can always ask. With a (relatively) late booking sometimes you are just stuck. The buffet serves dinner and you can get the MDR dinner served to you in your stateroom at no extra charge

When you are onboard, if the space opens up they will switch you.... There are many that after the first day decide that they want from early to late. or want to switch from traditional dining to Select dining..
