Just the normal routine vax schedule as you would have. Or so my ped has always told us. But obviously consult your own doc ;)

The Centers for Disease Control has a nicely put together schedule for vaccinations... although your doctor should have a more clinical one that the doc would understand.

I wouldn't fret it though. If people were to make it on CNN after a vacation coming down with a rare tropical disease... it'd spell the end of tourism in that country... You'd get a free vacation before they let you attempt to talk to Anderson Cooper.

I stressed out a little before going to Punta Cana to an All-Inclusive with my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary... Parts of the Dominican Republic had outbreaks of Malayasian Cholera because of the conditions in Haiti after the earthquake a few years even after the disaster.

We were there a week... LOVED it... nobody got sick.

We got Hep A vax for our 10 year old son who hadn't had it previously. He had all other regular recommended vaccinations already. DH and I got Hep A vax as well, my doctor said usually adults have worse symptoms than kids.
