not the mexican buffet, the mexican station. I saw on the map there is one located on the other side of the deli.

If it is the same as the Valor, I believe it is referred to as the "Burrito Bar". You can order burritos made with you choice of "fixins".

We'll be on the Freedom April 20th so I am anxious to read this review.

How was the Cheers program?? Would you do it again?

I posted this somewhere else, but i'll summarize again.

We were on the Freedom 2 weeks ago (had a GREAT time!) We bought Cheers for me, my DH and 26-year old son (he was in the other cabin with 17-year-old brother and brothers friend).

For the 26 year old, it was definitely worth it! He drank every day, a variety of drinks, and always at least 10 drinks a day so it was more than paid for. I think he hit the limit twice (on sea days) and they DID cut him off! Even though he wasn't obviously intoxicated they would not sell him another drink. (one night, i bought him one on my card, the other night i suggested that it was a good time for him to go to bed!).

For me and my husband, tho, i don't think it paid off and next time i probably won't do it. For me - the casino gave me a drink card on the third day, so my drinks would have been free in there the rest of the trip. Plus - we took on our 2 bottles of wine, then also ordered a case of beer from bon voyage because we wanted to have a cooler full on the balcony. So, on most days - especially on port days - we may have ordered a few drinks from Cheers but no more. A couple of times one of us would go up to a bar with both cards and get 2 beers (unopened) to take back to the room and replenish our cooler, but that was not that convenient to do. It would have been so much easier to buy a bucket of beer (4) but you can't do that on Cheers, you have to buy 1 at a time, then wait 5 minutes...

i did try some different cocktails and DOD's that i might not have tried if i was paying for each one, but since i was trying to spend my daily "allowance" i would try them!

All in all, i kind of felt like i was having to think too much about drinks, which was what i was hoping to avoid by doing this program. It probably worked out close to a break-even for our family, but as the week wore on i was just regretting buying it because i didn't feel like i really needed it.

I guess i wish they would just make it simple - sell me a drink program that includes everything (like even coffee?!?!), or from room service so i can stock my cooler - and let me quit worrying about it and relax. Don't cut me off at 15 drinks - i think MOST people will not come close to that # of drinks, most of us will stop at 8, or 10... THAT would be worth a little more money!!! For all their worrying about whether i'm sharing a drink with someone else - honestly, i'm paying dearly for alcohol on my cruise, so they're not going to lose money on it. just my thoughts!!!
