bankonus Posted March 20, 2013 #27 Share Posted March 20, 2013 I have Dream booked for June 1st. Booked Past guest rate this time instead of early saver and of course my price dropped. At least I was able to upgrade from interior to balcony for 10.00pp more. Have to be happy with that!
buffpuff Posted March 20, 2013 #28 Share Posted March 20, 2013 guess that's because our cruise is not till dec....we are early savers but guess we booked far enough ahead of time that we got the lowest price?? it has steadily been going up in price and no drops in the last year :(
Ksea1961 Posted March 20, 2013 #29 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Does anyone know if the OBC from price drop is refundable? If you don't spend it all on board, can you get it back in cash? The Carnival Rep I spoke to recently said NO, OBC for price drops is not refundable. We have a little over $400 so I'm not going to put any more money down until that has been spent :D
beachbum53 Posted March 20, 2013 #30 Share Posted March 20, 2013 This sale is insane! Three price drops (for us) in three days. If this keeps up, we could end up cruising free! :D With all of this OBC, I hope my DW doesn't blow it all on lattes.:rolleyes::D
deborahjo Posted March 20, 2013 #31 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Mine is still more then We paid for it. Come on OBC fairy......
Mizzouaholic Posted March 20, 2013 #32 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Does anyone know if the OBC from price drop is refundable? If you don't spend it all on board, can you get it back in cash? It is refundable. If you have non refundable OBC just go to the casino and stick your card in a slot machine and then cash out your non refundable OBC. oceanxbreeze89 Posted March 20, 2013 #33 Share Posted March 20, 2013 My sister and I only got a $20pp price drop for our category (4F) and that is only bc I had to talk to my PVP about something yesterday and she double checked for me and told me that I got it and put everything through! :) hopefully we get more! but I am not complaining! Wish the fare viewer was working bc it was so much easier looking everything up that way! Helen
bxh165 Posted March 20, 2013 #34 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Received our first price drop today ...sent early saver form Monday night and got OBC for $640 ...so happy now if the snow would stop coming and May 11 get here sooner it would be a fantastic day.:)

bafinegan Posted March 20, 2013 #36 Share Posted March 20, 2013 We got a total of $671 in OBC for 2 PT cabins we booked (ES) on the fascination for 6/15. And yes, you can "GET" money from your s/s acct via the slot machines and then cash out to your players club bank. I am not sure if you can get "officially refunded"unused OBC, but my documents does not say "nonrefundable" like it does with the stock option OBC we get.. so who knows... baf
kool_kat Posted March 20, 2013 #37 Share Posted March 20, 2013 I got a price adjustment with the Monday sale of 60pp for our two ocean view cabins for our August cruise. Checked this morning and nothing had changed. Checked again just now and they had dropped another 10pp. I'm on the phone now getting my 40.00 adjustment. Moral of the story - the price really will change during the day, so check multiple times.
cooncat_mom Posted March 20, 2013 #38 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Do keep checking....I booked a Canada/NE cruise for June - just wanted something close & cheap to get away, so booked a 1A. We had a small price drop during the last sale, and a few days ago I noticed it was $7 less pp. for my category. After feeling a little foolish, I decided to submit a form because $14 OBC would pay for our first drinks...I went in to My Cruise Manager today, and they dropped us almost $200 . I don't see OBC yet (actually am not sure where I'd find it - but I'm looking!), but we've now paid for our cruise AND for the Chef's Table...AND for our first drink! Now, if only FTTF would show up....;) Just a side note - I did try to give them a call to check on OBC, and the recording said there are hold times up to 90 minutes! I'll just wait and see.... Syldhor Posted March 20, 2013 #39 Share Posted March 20, 2013 A bit worried I'm about to miss an upgrade or credit now. Talking to the agent I used he says Carnival has been difficult to get a hold of due to recent events and he's not sure what he can get for me and gave me no specifics, he'll try to get back to me by tomorrow. I tried going directly to carnival and was told no can do, go through agent. It may end up ok, but pretty frustrating to think I may not be able to get to close to 200$ difference because I went through an agent. I regretted going through an agent before, and I may now regret it again.
Laplayaperson Posted March 20, 2013 #40 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Monday we got a $35.28 price adjustment added to our sign and sail; and holding right now w/Carnival to get the additional $70.00 EACH :) So we will have a nice little $175.28 OBC for our Lido Deck sailing! ExFed drvr Posted March 20, 2013 #44 Share Posted March 20, 2013 We are booked on some cruises on the Legend and the prices just seems to keep dropping..I think lots of people are afraid to book the Legend after the problems they had..There are lots of inside rooms left on deck 7 for the 10/10/13 NYC to Tampa.....Dennis

doe326 Posted March 21, 2013 #50 Share Posted March 21, 2013 Does anyone know if the OBC from price drop is refundable? If you don't spend it all on board, can you get it back in cash? Some OBC is refundable some is not. We received $1440 yesterday in OBC and add that to what we had previous have a total of $1800 OBC. None of it is refundable. If you have a PVP check with them or call Carnival direct and they will advise you if it is or is not.
