Lido deck inside cabins on Golden

We are going on an Alaskan cruise and thinking about inside cabins on the Lido deck towards the front of the ship. The positives are that we could get out for the views quickly, the food is up on that deck and it is close to the lotus spa pool area. Does anyone have any negative thoughts for taking a room in this area? We have already had a balcony in Alaska, thus the inner cabin this trip.

Thanks!

We had inside cabins on Lido deck to Alaska a few years ago. The only downside we experienced was the increased motion being forward and up high. We dealt with it by taking meclizine and using seabands one evening when it got to bothering us.

We are booked on Lido for our May AK cruise. This is our 3rd AK cruise and have never experienced motion. Maybe a bit getting out of Seattle. I take meclazine as a precaution. I like lido as their are more viewing options that are close by when doing an inside. This will be our first without having a balcony available.

Which date are you sailing?

Had an interior Lido on the Caribbean Princess for a Canada/New England. We found it very convenient for getting outside easily. Depending upon the weather, it might be slightly chilly for the outdoor segment of your walk to the Horizon Court. We had no problem. We did book a cabin as close as we could to the elevators to avoid being under treadmills and the like that are at the very front of the deck above in the fitness center. I have no idea if they could be heard; we did not wish to find out.

There is a very little used hallway outside the side walls of 252 and 257. We were in 257. Once during the cruise, some older teenagers were in that hall in the evening having perfectly normal fun at a slightly elevated conversation level (normal for the size of the group). We asked them if they could be quieter; they politely apologized saying they didn't realize it could be heard from inside the rooms. We heard things only that once but would avoid the two rooms (one a handicapped accessible) that actually bordered that hall. We would definitely book Lido interior again on any cooler cruise.
