Hi again! Okay so I know this is a lot of questions, so I apologize ahead of time if this should have been several posts, and I would be happy to edit if it would be more appropriate to do so.

I was hoping that someone knows the answers to the following questions that I had once I started reading the recent Valor Fun Times.

1. What is Liars Club?!

2. How much does it cost to play bingo and powerball, and is powerball just a different form of bingo?

3. What are shopping maps?

4. Are the VIP Cards and Coupons worth going to the talks to get?

5. How much does it cost for Wine Tasting, Martini Tasting, Mini Martini Tasting?

6. What is the cost for Sunrise Stretch and Yoga?

7. What are the cost of photos?? For example, one or two 5x7s?

THANKS!!! :)

liars club is the lamest thing i ever seen done onboard three cruise crew get on stage - they are given a word and tell the audience what it means.. you have to determine who is lying ..photos are 22. and you have to buy the 8 x 10 first you dont get to pick the sizes

Thanks for the tip! We will skip Liars Club... I feel like we are going to be much happier sitting at a bar or joining a deck party then seeing anything in the theatres but I was intrigued by the name!

Well, I wasnt really planning on purchasing photos but my grandma and parents are AVID cruisers, and Carnival loyalists lol so they will be pretty upset if I dont bring them back a photo, which they like to remind me ALL. THE. TIME. haha. I guess I will be ponying up the $44 for two 8x10s then!

bingo prices seem to fluctuate between ships. just recently some one said they got 1 card'fpr 10 bucks but i have not seen that for quite a few years now. one card 20 bucks, they spend more time selling those cards then the actual game itself

Some photos, like the boarding photo, are 5X7. It is only the posed shots that are 8X10.

Get them a copy of your boarding photo and you're done.

This is great to hear actually bc I was slightly annoyed at 1) having to "pose" for pictures and 2) ensuring that 8x10's arent ruined during travel. My parents / grandma pose for EVERY freakin picture avail and buy them too...and that is just not us. They are constantly complaining that BF and I havent had a portrait done and I swear I have heard "you better bring us back a photo" 90x since booking!

Not worth going to shopping talks. Just try to push you to "approved" shops. (Give kickbacks? Or owned by Carnival?)

Pretty much the same for the shopping maps.

If that's what they want, then they're talking about the formal photos and you do have to get an 8x10 before you get the smaller sizes.

Bingo has always been 3 cards for $10 on the cruises I've been on, but we try to avoid the lounge when they do bingo because like it's been mentioned before, it takes so long for them to sell the cards. It may have gone up recently, but fortunately they don't do bingo as much as they used to, either.

Shopping maps are generally readily available on board--they will be delivered to your cabin along with the FunTimes the night before the port, or you can get them from guest services, the shopping desk, or as you debark at the port. You can probably get the "VIP cards" whatever they are by the shopping desk as well, I wouldn't go to a shopping talk for it. The shopping talks are just essentially infomercials for a few of the shops that give Carnival a kick back on sales.

I actually enjoyed Liar's Club on the cruises I have been on. Its pretty funny to have them explain what strange words are, and usually at least one of the words ends up sounding perverted and gets a good laugh from the audience and plenty of blushes from the participating crew members.

I think you have the prices confused on the bingo cards. They do offer a single card for $10 but the strip of cards has been $20 on every cruise I've taken. They do offer bargain sessions where you get to play several games for much lower prizes using the same card. Those are listed in the Fun Times as such.

Liar's Club is hit and miss depending on who they get to do it. The funniest one we have seen was on the Glory with CD Josh, his old ACD John, and one of the pro fly-on comedians. The worst one was on the Pride with 3 random and low-level entertainment staffers.

It can be good but generally find it boring as most dont do it well.

Can get "shopping maps" as you leave the ship.

Cruise ships dont seem to own the approved stores just get a commission which we understand can be as high as 20%.

The free stuff you get for going to the shopping talks is not close to being worth my time. Only people in there generally is people on first or perhaps second cruise.

Liars club is lame

I'm not a bingo person

I avoid shopping talks and port talks like the plague!!!!

The only time I ever attend any of these things is if the weather forces me inside.

I enjoy being out on lido or on my balcony all day, I sail for the joy of the sea. The motion of the ocean soothes my soul. I can stay inside at home.

Get a picture made for your grandparents, you'll get a million brownie points and make them so happy. I'm a grandmother, so I know!!

My dh enjoys the casino.

Have fun, relax, "you're on a boat"

A hearty no to that one.

Long, boring, drawn-out, overly commercial...you have better things to do

unless you're infatuated with baubles bangles and beads and have excess cash to get rid of.

We walked out after about half-hour!

Thanks for clearing that up. Now that I think about it, yes, that is what it was. Just not a bingo player so we don't pay attention to how much they charge for the cards.
