lithlith Posted March 30, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2013 We leave March 31, 2013 on the Legend and Grand Cayman has been replaced with Costa Maya, Mexico for us. Also extra time in each port was given.
Midwestgal Posted March 30, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted March 30, 2013 I just don't get it. The ship is missing GC because on the ongoing mechanical issue with the ships speed, why are they not fixing the problem? Their still booking cruises with GC being a port when they know that the ship is unable to get there. Hey Carnival any plans to ever fix the ship? Per CCL's FB, this is suppose to be fixed before 4/7. The Legend is scheduled to make its transatlantic voyage then. The crews have been continuously working on the azipod. DGP1111 Posted March 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Per CCL's FB, this is suppose to be fixed before 4/7. But isn't that the date Carnival Legend leaves Port of Tampa to head away for several month?? That would certainly alleviate the problem this particular CCL ship seems to be currently having. . . That would certainly alleviate the problem this particular CCL ship seems to be currently having. . . The problem is the azipod which affects the ship's maximum sailing speed. Yes, 4/7 is the sail date for the transatlantic journey. The azipod would have to fixed completely prior to this sailing.

tandemcruzr Posted March 31, 2013 #10 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We'd prefer Costa Maya over Grand Cayman. GC very expensive.
askimdog Posted March 31, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Legend has a great itinery, if I had my way they could skip out of Cozumel. Coz we find pretty fake and full of too many tourist stores and tourist bars.
