cluso Posted March 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We are looking at the 2014 Norwegian Fjord schedule. Don't know if we are missing something, but is the only CC early booking discount the $ off the cabin based on the length of the cruise--ie $200 for 11 days? I thought it might be better for booking over a year in advance. I do understand we will have a better selection of cabins earlier on, but having watched the 2013 cruises, a lot of good cabins were available 6 months out--with better prices and perks. Just wanted to get a warm fuzzy from y'all before we book .
FoxyBride14 Posted March 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2013 You can call up and get a price adjustment until your final payment is due. You'll just have to keep on eye on the prices.
Rare Azulann Posted March 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2013 You can also use your Open Passage certificate for this promotion which is another OBC. And if you book through a TA you would receive something from them too.
Syrreal Posted March 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2013 We're on that same boat with booking arctic cruise for 2014. No special offerings except CC but there was a very specific cabin we wanted so we wen through with it. Hopefully there will be a price drop or a promotion that we could take advantage of but the cabin was more important to. In the end.
sandyss Posted March 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2013 I would book the cabin that you want now. If Celebrity comes up with a better offer after you have booked, your TA will probably be able to get that offer for you - you will need to give up your early booking discount and pay the current pricing for your cabin, though. Our TA was able to get a very large OBC offer for us on our 2014 Australia/New Zealand cruise. We did pay slightly more for our cabin (current pricing) and gave up our on-board booking bonuses - but the new offer was much better, after doing the math. Since our TA does not charge for changes, this worked out well for us. We were able to keep our original cabin, and did not have to cancel and rebook. We were also able to keep our reduced deposit from booking on board.
