Curacao shopping hours

Are the shops open as long as the ship is in port? We are on an excursion until 6:30 pm. We wanted to spend some time shopping as well. We are in port until 10.

On the Curacao tourism website it says most shops are open until 6 pm. Is this true or do most close at 4pm? Also which market is best to go to?

Shops here close at 6 pm.

 

There are some stores in the Riffort Village (pier area) staying open till 7 or 8 o'clock.

 

The most famous market is the floating market (selling fruits, vegetables and some souveniers). There is a large market further up the road from the floating market, but selling mostly fruit, hairproducts and lots of junk.:)

How far is it from where the ships dock to the floating market? If it requires a cab ride, about how much would the fare be?

Just walk across the pontoon bridge, walk to the left and it's right around the corner.

6:00 PM is correct. That was our experience in January of this year.

We are also in port from 2-11. We will do a beach in the afternoon, go back to the ship for an early dinner then would like to go shoreside for a drink. Is Senor Frogs far from the ship (Carnival Breeze).
