westham Posted April 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Hi we have never been on Carnival before (22 with Princess and 1 Royal Carib) have just received a call from Carnival offering an upgrade from our Ocean Suite to a Grand Suite ($700 total extra for 7 days ) simple question is it worth the extra money?? Sailing the end of April on the Glory. Bad Boy B Posted April 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2013 I would have to chck the Room Size and balcony size. $100 a day is not alot. However we like the best rooms on the ship and sometimes when it gets down to the last week you can really steal one....
spencercoop Posted April 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2013 The only difference between the Ocean and Grand Suite is a larger cabin/balcony. The layouts/contents of the room may be a little different though. You don't receive any additional perks with the Grand Suite. So it really depends if you think $700 is worth it for a larger room. big_duck Posted April 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Is a bigger room, bigger balcony and bidet worth $100. If it is just the 2 of you I don't think it is. At least on the Glory, if it was a Fantasy class ship I'd say definitely worth it.

bphman Posted April 8, 2013 #12 Share Posted April 8, 2013 It's an upsell and not an upgrade. Upgrades are free. I don't see where it is worth $700 more from the category you are in. If you were in a standard balcony, that would be a sweet deal.
