  1. We "won" an upgrade to an aft corner suite. The suite was beautiful and we love aft views. The problem is that the balcony was not deep at all and I couldn't sit next to my wife. The loungers would only fit sideways so we were either head to head or toe to toe. Also, there was no overhang so the sun could be brutal. For our upcoming cruise we booked another aft corner but this one has a huge deep balcony with an overhang so we are protected from the sun. It can be a real crap shoot.
  2. I would start with a email to customerrelations@princesscruises.com. I have never had luck with calling. One of the call centers is in the Philippines and the representatives are clueless about a lot of issues. Give them about a week to get back to you. They have always called me back. If you do call, call the reservation line. It seems to me that the most knowledgeable and experienced ones handle those calls. But try email first.
  3. DON'T call the call center. The one I called was in the Philippines and they are totally clueless and told me the 360 was cancelled for all suite guests. I know more about Princess than they do. I said it was on my cruise invoice as an included perk which is like a contract but all I heard on the other end were crickets. I went ahead and booked it on the app and got the time I wanted. I sent an email to customerrelations@princesscruises.com and received a phone call less than a week later. The charge was removed and he asked if there were any other concerns. I asked about the free specialty dining the first night and he said that it had to be booked once on board. They hold some spaces for suite guests. Just as a reference point, I booked in October but have not made final payment yet for our August cruise. The 360 Experience is only offered on 2 ships and there shouldn't be a ton of people who booked suites before Dec. 1st and eligible for this perk so they should be done with this soon.
  4. We are staying in a full suite and we were concerned that 360 would be booked up before we boarded. I booked it online and got in touch with customer relations and they refunded it. Took a week to hear back but it was all taken care of.
  5. I believe it is an issue across the whole industry. We sailed o two different Oceania ships this past year and the food was very disappointing. This is a line known for their excellent dining and we did experience this in the past. No longer. I remember the fettuccine Alfredo served in the large parmesan bowl. It was delicious. Caesar salad used to be prepared tableside. Celebrity had memorable food before RCI took over now it is just better than OK. Things have changed. We hadn't sailed Princess for several years and found the food on the Regal to be very good and some excellent dishes in the MDR and Sabatini's but not CG. The lobster tail smelled like low tide and my gray-colored rib eye was terrible. The service was the worst we experienced in years. Was it a bad night? Possibly. But I think they had issues.
  6. The order form came up on the app when I did Check-in. We are in a suite and Premier so that may be why.
  7. This was not our experience on the Regal last year. Enjoyed the food in every area except Crown Grill. My steak was gray in color and my wife's lobster tail smelled like low tide at Rockaway and was changed out for a filet. The service was an issue also. We had a very bizarre waiter from Peru but that is another story. Our Sabatini experience was good. Sometimes it is the luck of the draw. Oceania always had great food but our last cruise had terrible food. There can be many factors. But, I hear you and hopefully the rest of your trip will be better. Happy sailing.
  8. I would be very careful with taxis in Cozumel. The beauty is that Cozumel is an island and somewhat safer than Costa Maya and Cancún. I lived in México for 4 years albeit many years ago. We always and only got taxis from a Sítio which is a taxi stand. Otherwise you may be in for a risky ride. Taxis are very limited in Cozumel. I would look into hiring a driver either from home or while onboard. Can't answer about Roatan.
  9. I find that, when you book through the cruise line air department, the airlines don't want to hear from you. You travel are in a totally different category such as bulk ticketing. You can try and see if you can find someone sympathetic at the airline but it might be easier to get a ride on a unicorn.
  10. We are booked on the Enchanted in August so I can't comment but have sailed the Caribbean and, overall, did not like her. The ship's very crowded and there always seemed to be a backup at the elevators. I doubt they will be doing the bar scene but there always seemed to be a shortage of seating. If the sailing is during cooler weather, the Caribbean is not the ship for that. The pool decks are open with less shade than the other newer ships. Make sure they book a midship cabin as there will be a lot of walking from one end to the next.
  11. Just heard back from Princess. Very impressed by the person who called replying to my email and answered several questions. I would have responded to CC sooner but my dog was in my chair and I couldn't get to the computer. I did book 360 on the app and was charged but I got the date and time I wanted. He told me that any booking for 360 would be handled through customer relations as the ones answering the phones at the 800 number have been instructed to say that the 360 perk will no longer be offered. I will get refunded. I also asked about specialty dining on embarkation day. That cannot be booked ahead and can only be booked onboard. They do save spots for suite guests and it is complimentary. So, I am very pleased with the service given. My suggestion is to email customerrelations@princesscruises.com. They are in the business to make you happy.
  12. Waiting since last week for a response from customer relations or Mr. Steinke. This is not rocket science. No reason why the 360 experience could not be coded for suite guests. They could even have a simple check box if you booked a suite before Dec. 1st. Will post when I hear back. Like others, I'll book and just hope for a refund without too much effort.
  13. When we sailed on the Regal last spring, the Club Class area of the MDR was a separate part of the MDR but no one was ever seated close to us. To me it was very private. Certainly nothing like Cunard Queens or Princess Grill but it was still very nice and we pretty much had the same wait staff for all meals.
  14. Congratulations on your anniversary, killineybay! That's awesome and a great way to celebrate. We renewed our vows with the captain on our 25th. Eight more until our 50th.
  15. You won't be disappointed with the cabin. That is why I rebook suites. I just know not to expect the suite perks I received on other cruise lines. Definitely no butler. You also aren't paying what those other lines are charging in most cases but I have gotten bargains in Grill Suites on Cunard. I also guess swapping out the mini-bar may vary by ship because we were not allowed. Our cabin steward on the Regal was clueless. We could never find him. We had to leave Post-its for him as there was no other means of communication. Our cabin was always missing something. I have a feeling that it was more his lack of experience than being denied suite perks. I never reported him because I didn't want him to be reprimanded. I believe this is an isolated thing. Our prior Princess cruise experiences much better. You still will have the option of breakfast in Sabatini's and other meals in the Reserve section of the MDR. First night in a specialty restaurant is still listed and, with the Premium package, 2 other specialty dinners are included.
  16. There are some nice perks in a suite but no concierge until onboard. The people at customer support often times are not helpful and not very knowledgeable about a lot of the subtleties. I too have been trying to get an answer to the 360 Experience for suite guests. We are still 8 months out however so no email yet but I do not want to wait and get stuck with a 5:00 pm dining time since we are in port until later than that. We are just going to book it and duke it out with guest services on board. As far as the minibar set-up, it is a joke. We had 2 little nips each of gin, vodka, and Scotch. That's it. No refill. You cannot switch it out for beer or wine. Also, no Champagne in the cabin. They left 2 glasses of wine with a napkin on top. Ours was corked and undrinkable. Our steward said sorry but it was never replaced. Cabin service is no better than an inside cabin. The cabins are great however and we always book them knowing the limitations but the suite service is more like Carnival than Cunard. We did like the dining arrangement in the Reserve section of the MDR. Hope this helps but Princess suites are more like a very nice cabin without the pampering of most suite experiences on other cruise lines. Can't help with the Premium package because we selected it when we booked but I am sure it can be upgraded. It is a very nice package though.
  17. Same experience with Chat all weekend. Three times I spent an hour after I was next in line. Got frustrated and called Princess which, even though I spoke with someone, was no less frustrating. I spoke with the call center in the Philippines. The rep was lovely but knew less than I did. Kept getting misinformation after being placed on hold while she spoke with a supervisor. Will try again this week and hopefully will reach someone in the US.
  18. I just printed my Special Services Gifts list and forwarded it to Mr. Steinke. I think I will book the 360 as well before the late seatings all book up. I will let everyone know what happens after I hear back from Mr. Steinke or his representative. If I have it in writing from them, I don't see how they could deny me this perk. I have never been denied a perk that was offered at the time of booking and later removed for. future bookings.
  19. I am in the same boat as OP. We booked an S3 suite on the Enchanted October 30th for August 24, 2034 and the 360 perk was clearly posted (it still is). I tried to book it and the same thing happened to me with a charge noted of $149 pp. Tried to do a Live Chat twice and, after being told I was the next person for an hour, got frustrated and closed it out. I called and spoke to someone in the Philippines (I asked) who knew nothing about any of this. I was put on hold and she came back and said the perk was discontinued. I checked the website for suite perks and it is still listed as of today. I asked how could they retroactively change this and got the "Oh, well." She wanted me to wait until I was onboard but by then it would be completely booked. I was surprised that there wasn't an email address listed so I came to old reliable CC and I see that I am not alone. Glad to see the 2 email addresses and I will contact them on Monday, Thanks everyone for all of the info.
  20. We were in YC but the regular lines were very short. Got to the port at 11:30 on 10/15 and were on before noon. We did all of the pre-boarding online but so many things had to be repeated. Still, it was easy and well organized.
  21. It was almost too easy. Get your bags, get on line, and the facial recognition will get you out in minutes. The easiest ever.
  22. Thank you, JamieLogical. You gave me a lot of MSC pointers.
  23. Just received a text regarding documents and we have a 3:00 PM boarding for this Sunday sailing out of Brooklyn. We have had this ever since we did check-in. I had called MSC and got 4 different answers. We are sailing YC and the last person at MSC said YC can board any time. We were planning to arrive at 11:00. I thought maybe there was a customs inspection or something. This is not a last minute warning about something new since this time was assigned weeks ago. Anyone have any news or advice?
  24. Thanks, tewkewl. I have the ride covered. I just wanted to mention the maximum parking fee for those driving. I did park there when it was only $25/day but this is a little ridiculous for outdoor, unprotected parking with no guard.
  25. I had heard that the maximum parking fee is $400. A lot for me since I am only a hour away but worth it if you have to travel a distance.
