Transport from Miami hotel to POM?

We are staying across from the Bayside Mkt. Place and wondered what was the best way to transfer from the hotel to POM the morning of the cruise?

Cost/Taxi or private shuttle? There will be 6 in our group.

Use two cabs and the cost will be about $12-15 (tops) per cab. You are very close to the ship. Shuttles will charge a per person rate ..you don't need that.;)

I agree with eandj. Definitely go with a taxi and the cost will be about what was mentioned.

Maybe you can heelp with another problem...

we are using SAS from the POM back to Ft. Lauderdale airport after the cruise.

BUT our flight doesn't leave until 8:00pm...what to do for the day?

Cancel SAS, rent a car, put the bags in the trunk, and then go where you want. ;) Lunch and people watching in South Beach, or head to Hollywood or Fort Lauderdale, or even take a tour of the Everglades. Good luck! :)

John has the perfect solution. You have way too much time before your flight to NOT have a plan WITH a car. ;)

Alamo, Thrifty and National share a shuttle bus that will take you to their MIA airport facility. Hertz also offers POM shuttles to its downtown Miami location. Avis and Dollar are downtown but do not offer shuttles - a taxi would only run about $10 if you get a good rate. There are other rental offices scattered around Miami and Miami Beach. Good luck! :)
