Transfers from Miami to Fort Lauderdale

We have to fly into Miami because they do not have non-stop flights to Fort Lauderdale from Boston. We have transfers, from Princess, from Miami Airport to the Renaissance Hotel. How long does it take to get to the hotel? Has anyone done this before? Is the restaurant in the Renaissance good, or do we look for one around the area?

Try www.tripadvisor.com for hotel reviews. But REMEMBER more people complain than praise so reviews tend to be biased toward complaints. I did say TEND! As proof of this take the coffee posts thousands (millions?) of passengers do not complain about the coffee but here most of the posters say its terrible ! Go figure as they tend to say in US

From the airport to the hotel - 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Don't know about the hotel restaurant, but there's plenty to choose from within a short walking distance.

The restaurant in the Renaissance is pretty good, but expensive. There are also many good places to eat across and down the street.

We loved the hotel!
