How do we use OBC (123 promo) towards excursion?

Just made a reservation for an excursion for a cruise May 11. The cost is $200. We want to use $200 of our $300 OBC from the 123 promo - any idea how to do that? Doesn't seem to be an option online for it.

If you book/reserve anything online before sailing you will need to pay for it with a credit card at the time of booking. OBC is on board credit and can only be used once on board. Since you want to use OBC you will have to wait to book your excursion until you are on the ship.

That's so logical when you say it I feel quite dumb for not realizing it LOL. THANKS. :p

You may be able to book (and pay) in advance and then when on board, cancel your reservation and rebook it. They will credit back your original payment (to your On board Account) and then they will charge the new excursion to your onboard account. They key here is that the refund will be a refundable On board credit, but the new charge (rebooking) of the excursion will be charged to the non-refundable on-board credit that is part of the 123 package. All charges are automatically first applied against the non refundable on board credits....and only after those have been spent, they charge against your refundable On board credits.

It doesn't always work, but the excursion desk doesn't care and they know why people do this swap. Give it a try....very good chance it will work for you.
