Sumar76 Posted June 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2005 Please don't flame me if this has been discussed before..:o On an 11 night cruise, such as the Osaka/Beijing one..I know there are 3 formal nights? Is the first one the first night at sea? The 3rd the Last night at sea? And where does the 2nd fall? Is there any way of knowing? There are 5 nights at sea, would it logically be the 3rd sea night? I know it sounds like a quiz, but not intended to be one.... Thanks...Sue
coiran Posted June 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2005 The first is usually the second night and the last is usually the night before the last night - don't know where the third would fall. Ron
katisdale Posted June 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2005 I did a 12 day in 2003 that only had 2 formal nights. Maybe that has changed by now.
Sumar76 Posted June 16, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted June 16, 2005 Maybe you're right Katisdale...then does a 7 day only have 1 or 2 also? And Ron, maybe there are only 2?

mr green Posted June 18, 2005 #10 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Formal nights are usually held on 'sea days', or, on a day that the ship leaves port early, say about 2.00pm. john

sfkid Posted June 18, 2005 #12 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Was on the Regal Princess for a 10 day Alaskan Cruise, on the 2nd formal night, i saw this group wearing casual clothes and no one complained, IE: jeans and stuff.
MBMiner Posted June 19, 2005 #13 Share Posted June 19, 2005 Do I understand it correctly that if it is not formal night the dress is casual or "country club casual" or similar? In other words there is no informal night requiring a jacket like there is on Celebrity. It is either formal or casual, nothing in between?
