Yup you use your Sail and Sign card for everything on the ship. The only thing you need cash for on the ship is for the casino and any extra tipping you may choose to do.

It is very handy but can be scary when you get that final bill since you were only using plastic all trip. Note...when you buy drinks they do already include gratuity into the price so just be aware.

Actually you may even be able to use your Sail and Sign card in the casino as well to get like a cash advance. I am not positive on that. When I have used the casino I have always just used cash.

They have small safes in the rooms that you lock using a credit card. I typically store all my cash and ID's in the safe when not using them.

Going on My first cruise 8/29-9/2 on Carnival aboard the Victory and man this was the best review I have read. Thanks for all the info...

We will be on the same sailing.

Ratch, thanks for the review. No matter how many cruises I go on I think it is great to read a recent review of one that I have booked. Our itinerary is backwards of yours, with our day at sea being day 1 and Nassau is the last day. I really wish it was reversed like yours. There is just something relaxing about finishing a cruise with a lazy day on the open ocean.

And you boys are absolutely precious!

This was my wife's first cruise and only my 4th. I am not a super-cruiser like alot of people I see on here. I wish I could go more often though because I really do enjoy them. You and your family will have a blast.

My one suggestion would be...look at the Fun times each night and come up with a plan for the next day. There is so much going on that at times it can feel like you are always chasing the next activity. Remember to relax and enjoy yourself as well since you are on vacation. I am the type of guy that likes to be on the go, but I have to remind myself to slow down and just enjoy the time and if I miss something (the mega deck party) it is OK.

Have fun.

Thank you Ratch for your review.

We are sailing on the Victory 5 night, same itinerary, on January 20, 2014

You had great tips that you mention and the photo posting was above and beyond....sincerely thank you.

Where will you take your 4th anniversary trip? Maybe another cruise. You sure made the most of your time. Cheers to you both !

Maureen
