Visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

We are looking at maybe spending an extra day in NJ to visit SOL and Ellis Island. I got very confused in looking at the website.

 

If we take the ferry from Liberty State Park is there another ferry to get to Ellis from SOL? Is it all one ticket?

 

Thanks for any help and info you can provide. I really feel stupid right now, but I am having trouble picturing everything.

smeyer- thank you so much for the link. It was very helpful and I have book marked it for future reference. Hoping that in Sept 2014, Ellis Island will have re-opened.
