Hue/Danang (Phu My) Vietnam

I am corresponding with a tour company for a private day tour at this port.

 

The tour operator insists that he needs my passport information in advance if we want to be picked up at the ship.

 

I'm not very comfortable with this. If anyone has been there, how far a walk is it from the gangway to outside the gate where we can meet the driver.

 

We will be on Celebrity Millenium in April, 2014.

Which port are you talking about? Phu My is the port for HCM City? Danang is a separate port and near to Hue.

I must have copied the wrong port. It's Chan May, not Phu My.

Far...you have to give him your passport # and to all your tour operators in the other cities

It's too far. Chan May is an old industrial site. Giving your passport no. is standard procedure in Vietnam.
