Inside cabin with french doors

Don't really want to go any lower than Deck 4 (coming from our current reservation that is on Deck 6).. and the noise from the $10 watch sale is during the day isn't it, so I don't think it'll be an issue cause my butt better be in the Sunshine then!! :)

I put a wink emoticon after my comment about the watch sale. Yes, the watch sale occurs during the day and it was meant as a small attempt at humor.

I hope you 'll enjoy your cabin selection and come back and tell us what your impressions were.

Happy Landings! :)

Here is a shot of our room on Pride. We were upgraded from a true interior, so we did not get to pick the cabin. You can see there is not much of a view but you get some natural light and you can look out and down and see water. The doors open and no the A/C does not turn off when the doors are open.

Now on Legend, i intentionally booked the French Door room because i really liked the cabin on Pride, but this time i picked a cabin that appeared to be between lifeboats.

So when you pick your cabin, choose one like 4111, that is between 2 life boats, for example....

We are in 4112 in Sept and I am looking forward to being able to tell how hot or cold it is without leaving our room. It is so hard to tell much from the ship layout map but I thought it was between lifeboats. I do hope it is not directly over the piano bar even though I heard that should not be a problem with the one on the Legend.

Is that a noisy room?

I was traveling with k2excursion. I never heard any noise from the Fun Shops or anything else. Of course we were out of our cabin most of the day. All I cared about was that it was quiet at night for sleeping. I would definitely book that cabin again. Of course I would prefer a cabin between lifeboats, but when you are traveling with 3 to a cabin there are none available.

We are in 4132 on the Pride in a 66 days (but who's counting?). Does anyone have a photo of the view from that room? It looks like it might not have quite the wide open view that some do between lifeboats.

I'll make sure to post some photos when I get back.

We'll be in room 4114 on the Pride in February. This will be our first time trying this type of room, and I'm looking forward to seeing how we like it. It turned out to be about the same price as a regular oceanview, but I thought it would be interesting to do something different.

Is that a noisy room?

We liked them. It was definitely worth it for us. The French Doors are significantly larger than a picture window. The doors do open, inward. There is a railing to prevent you from going outside, and there is no balcony out there. But you can lean outside and get some fresh air & sunlight. The room itself is larger than a standard interior as well, as the room is a true 185 sq.ft. Since we had 3 in the room, that alone made it worth the extra cost. The big door & fresh air was a nice bonus.

Most rooms will only see a lifeboat, a few feet out from the door. There are a few rooms that are between lifeboats, all of which sleep only 2 people. We had 4130, which only saw a lifeboat and a large beam. A few rooms that I know of that are between lifeboats to give a little bit of a view are 4132, 4133, 4140, 4141, 4148, 4149. There is a pattern to those, that can be seen on the deck plans. In the other spots, it's harder to determine.

We are in room 4130 on Pride for May 31st sailing :-) DH and I love these rooms!

We are booked in 4150 for an Oct sailing on the Pride. All the 3 person rooms are sold out now, but still have 2 person cabins available. This is the first time cruising without a balcony. We needed to save money this time but I'm too claustrophobic for a true inside, so this is a nice compromise. Including the fact that the room itself is larger than a straight inside cabin. Being able to open the door and get some air is a plus. All for a total of $90 more than an inside.

Looks like some of the between the lifeboats staterooms have better views than others. I just changed from 4123 to 4148 when it opened up. I was worried about the smoke from deck 3 coming up. Has anyone noticed the smoke on the starboard 4K rooms with the door open? Since they stopped allowing smoking on the balconies there is more smoking on outside decks where allowed. Which between the lifeboats staterooms have the best or more full views?

Can anyone tell me how they liked the inside cabin with the french doors on the Pride or other Spirit class ships. Do they open? Bigger then a window? Does one cabin have a better view then the others with only a view of the life boats. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

It's not a inside cabin!
