Jackets in MDR

Do men have to wear jackets in the MDR every night. I know on formal nights they do, but I was wondering if on the other nights a nice collared shirt and slacks are good?

DH wears a polo shirt and dockers and looks great.;)

Just saying what I saw last year on the Summit. On formal night there were some gentlemen wearing long sleeve shirts, slacks and no tie, no jacket. On non formal nights most men wore short sleeve shirts with collar and slacks.

 

Two years ago my friend who did not wear a jacket on formal night was turned away.

On Non-Formal nights in the MDR on Celebrity cruises DH wear long dress pants and a golf/polo shirt. No Problem! That's also what most other men wear too.

Some do wear jackets, and would not look weird to do so. But, most men do not wear jackets. A nice shirt, polo or dress, is fine.
