Just back and we won the $500 off you bar tab!!!

Recommended Posts

Not sure, we weren't at the drawing. They attached a letter to our final bill that was slide under our door. I thought it was kind of ironic, our last cruise we had a drinker with us and the bill was $400 and on this one it was $48. The last cruise we had a lot more entries.

We won the raffle for $500 off you bar tab on our recent Elation cruise. Too bad our total bar tab for the entire cruise was $48.35.:D

Talk about the good news & the bad news Purplekisses! Did you laugh or cry?

We too were the lucky ones drawn from all the entries to win the $500 credit on the last night of our Mexican Riveria cruise on Splendor, but fortunately (???) we'd racked up about $650 by that time. And that was following a $75 bingo credit so it was a very cheap week for us.

:o

They have the pull tickets and there is a tab at the bottom that you fill in with your name and cabin number. We didn't need to enter the draw so we gave the entries to anyone we saw with a drink in their hands.

I'm new to carnival how do you enter this? My hubby is a big drinker ;)

Dang! You should have drank more. :D. Does what you drink after you win count?

Lol...NO!! My sister in law won it on a cruise with us a couple of years ago so the first thing she did was buy us all drinks!! She later found out that it was $500 applied to your bar tab UP UNTIL the point she won, not afterwards.

Maybe it wasn't random, perhaps they chose you because of your small bar bill this time.

I wondered the same thing honestly, but I'd still like to try. Do they offer this raffle on the Dream? If so, where and how do we sign up?

Where are those pull tickets? I am so confused, lol. I would love to enter it on our next cruise. Thank you.

I don't drink alcohol so our bar bill on a cruise is very low also (although the non alcohol smoothies are often just as expensive) and would probably not enter the contest

I would suspect that first time cruisers run up higher bar tabs (because they are having such a great time the tab sneaks up on them and they go into shock when the final bill is under their cabin door on the last night) then experienced cruisers who plan and budget better

Good to know...my husband always said if we win he would buy everyone drinks since we never have $500 bar tab.

For those asking how to enter, there are pull tab cards you get at bingo or you can buy them in the casino...just fill out the bottom portion and drop in the jar at the casino cage. They are on every cruise.

Wonder if it will cover the cost of the cheers program since you buy it the first day

I was wondering the same thing. I always enter, but if it will not cover the Cheers program, then there is no need as I plan on doing Cheers on my next cruise. :D

DW and I won it on our last cruise on the Elation. We had a $493 tab when we got notice. I was sitting in the casino playing poker and the head casino guy came over and told me. I bought a round for the table anyway since I was starting over!:D
