Review: My Wonderful Breakaway Inaugural Cruise to Bermuda

Recommended Posts

How dare you OP!!!

"if you looked up, you could see up the ladies’ skirts/dresses. A frosting of that glass rail is definitely in order!

Shush about that. I live for a good crotch shot. Tell NCL you were only joking about the frosting of the glass. You have NO RIGHT to recommend that

That's the reason skirts and clear glass was invented, so perv's like me can get an eye full:D

BUTTTTT OUTTTTT!!

Hi Tracy,

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!

A woman after my own heart. I plan on spending all my time in the casino, spa and Vibe as well. Very good to know about the CAS boarding, was worried about not getting a Vibe pass if I board too late. I believe my 6/30 sailing is sold out now.

I am brand new to this whole cruise thing, but a casino trip host, somehow set this cruise up for me. Message me and I will give you his contact info? He does casino trips on lots of cruise lines and land based trips all over.

I started getting nervous about my trip in a spa balcony comp-room. After reading your review, aside from the kids at the shows it sounds like I will find plenty of places to relax. My own children will be away at camp in Rhode Island:D:D:D:D:D. As much as I love them, this is me time!!!!!

Thanks Again!!

Gillian

They placed a sticker on the back of my room card. When you arrive at the spa to check in, you show them the sticker and they give you a waterproof wristband with a locker number on it. Inside the band there is an electronic button that locks and unlocks your locker.

Tracy

We arrived at the pier around 9:30 and had no problems getting a parking space. Enjoy your cruise!!

Tracy

Unfortunately Jules has moved to the Pearl, although Rimarie is still on Breakaway.

That's neat about the locker unlockers... can't wait to try.

Glad to hear about the parking also, as we're driving to the pier. A cousin who has a place in downtown NYC has mailed us keys, so we have a pied-a-terre in the city for a couple of nights.

There were probably hundreds of penny machines, many of them with progressive jackpots. Minimum bet was 30 cents all the way up to $5.00 max bet to hit the progressive.

Here's some that I remember: Quick Hit Platinum (six of them), Hot Hot Habanero (my personal favorite and very hard to get on), Roller Coaster, Pink Diamonds, Mr. Cashman. There were also lots of video poker. Also several high roller machines: $5, $25 and $100. A rumor quickly spread about a woman who won $80K on the high roller machines the first night!

If you are looking for a particular slot, ask me and I will see if I remember it.

Tracy

Are there any of the regular quarter, fifty cent, dollar one line slots or is it only multi-line penny and nickel slots. We've noticed that our fave "normal" machines are being replaced with the multi line slots.

Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We are booked through CAS and Harrahs Casinos in October. Can you go to Vibe without a spa pass? Is there a charge for Vibe? If so, how much is it?

Thanks for all the helpful information.

Vibe is separate from the spa. On May 12th the Vibe pass was $79 for the week and worth every penny in my opinion. Spa pass was $179 but I believe it is now $199.

Parking is very easy, Stephen. What time are you planning on arriving? I would suggest arrival before 11:30 to ensure a space, otherwise I believe they send you to a garage somewhere in the neighborhood.

Glad Rimarie is still in the casino. She is one of my faves!

Great review thanks for posting! Can you tell us more about the casino? Pictures? We are CAS people too and I looked at the Breakaway for January but it was sooo much more than the Gem that we passed on it. Maybe the casino will convince us to try it! Did you play any VP? How are the paytables?

Thank you. I played everything except tables. I did quite well on VP one night. Up and down for the entire cruise. The casino is huge! They had one slot tournament with a few days of qualifying rounds; the final was on Saturday.

Lots of multi-line slots and VP machines. I always bet max but saw plenty of people hitting bonus rounds more frequently with lower bets.

If you have any other questions, ask away!

Tracy, were there any slots that weren't multi-line? I'm hoping for at least afew of the old style one-line quarter, fifty cent and dollar multi-domination machines. Please shed light. :)

Not many -- there were a few scattered throughout the casino; more in the "high roller" area. $5 - $25 machines.

Thanks Tracy. That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, guess I better get used to them since that seems to be the trend now.
