Explorer of the Seas Repositioning Cruise

If I were to take the repositioning cruise with the following itinerary, would I need a passport book? My kids, husband, and I have the cards, but want to make sure we would need the book. Thanks for your help!

The repositioning cruise is not a closed end cruise, so passports would be necessary. Not sure if the cards would suffice.

 

EDIT: Looks like the passport cards would be sufficient. See link below. Look in the last section under "Open Loop".

Just be aware that if something happens to you while on one of the islands, you cannot fly home on a passport card.

Its on Royals website to book now. It opened for booking on May 21.

I would love to book this cruise, but it is way too expensive for a solo traveler
