Stumblefoot Posted May 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2013 Has anyone here experienced the new "Short Sail" voyages yet, whereby an originally released regular length voyage had been split into two separate short cruises? I know we had a couple of threads on this matter previously, but the last responses were posted in February before they took effect I believe. Our upcoming 10-day voyage was split in two (4 & 6 days) and I'm just anxious to anticipate any changes in advance of our embarkation. I do hope that we'll be able to make dinner reservations for the entire length of our regular voyage and not be limited to just the first 4-days when we board. Appreciate any news! wripro Posted May 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2013 I doubt you will have any trouble. You did book one cruise, not two shorter ones.
Rare Keith1010 Posted May 26, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2013 If you booked the full cruise you will not be limited to the days you can make specialty restaurant reservations. Keith
timetravelers Posted May 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Our friends just joined us half way through our Alaska cruise. We had 5 days together from Juneau to Vancouver. It worked very well for them. I think as long as there are a number of open rooms on the ship it works. Our friends booked 5 days before jumping into a half cruise!! Rare RachelG Posted May 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Our TA had a couple of short sail options, but as far as I could tell, no one (or at least too few to notice) took advantage.
