fclagooncruiser Posted May 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2013 What kind of experience have you had on an Oceania Cruise from Rio to Buenos Aires? Last year we boarded the Marina for a cruise from Barcelona to Rome and had a great time. Wonderful service too. We are considering a cruise at the end of November next year. alexandra cruiser Posted May 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2013 and it was great.Would spend a few days extra in Rio and BA .Not enough time there unless you do.Ours had shore excursion package(few days) in Igazu(sp?) Falls and that was wonderful. Our ship then was Insignia, had nice cabin(small).Food,service,etc. all fine. Some ports were not so great, went on no other shore excursions with ship but on own.So that might have been the problem, not sure WHAT to see and do in them.SHould have done more research? Get a guidebook, look at tourist site in ports, etc. to get the most out of it.Hope that helps.;)
Floridiana Posted May 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2013 If you do this, definitely go to Iguazu Falls on your own unless you have plenty of money to spare. By then, you have a Brazilian visa and can see the falls from both sides. They are absolutely spectacular.
