I have never been lucky enough to get an upgrade on any cruise I have been on , we have booked H Cat on PAC Jewel on deck 8 I am considering calling P & O and requesting no upgrade as I don't want to be on deck 5 can anyone tell me if they have been on this deck in H cat and what it was like for position noise etc.....thanks in advance

You have booked an obstructed view cabin on deck 8 and an up-grade could take you to an outside on deck 5. Personally I would think that is a good up-grade. We have been on deck 5 and think it is really good. There is no noise as there are cabins above you. The deck 8 cabin you have booked is above the Connexions Bar and you could get some noise from there.

Deck five is a great position on any P&O ship. Been all over the place and have been very happy with five.
