Activities to do with a 3 year old

We are thinking of taking a cruise next March with our son (he'll be 3 in January). We've been on several cruises but this will be the first with him. Are there any activities he'd be able to do in St Thomas. We are an active family and live at the beach so we'd like to do something besides play in the sand :) Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated!

Does he like pirates? We are planning to poke around Blackbeard's Castle and then walk down the 99 steps. Planning on taking a cab on our own. Just google these things as I don't know if I am allowed to post websites.

Coral World! It is very interactive and the workers are intent on getting the children involved with the sea- pet a shark, feed a sting ray, pick up a sea urchin or sea star, see the fish in an under water observatory, explore bioluminescence, visit the turtles and the iguanas, watch the ducks...:D
