toyotaford Posted June 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2013 A friend decided to join us on the October 12 sailing on the Gem out of NYC and booked 9504. I just opened the email with the contract and it states in red "this cabin has an enclosed balcony". What does that mean? Also, we assumed this was a Haven cabin but forgot to ask. I will call my PCC Monday but figured someone on CC could answer before that. I just love CC.
RoutemanDan Posted June 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2013 It has two balconies, one forward (open) and one on the side. Video of cabin-

I am still a little confused why the bold red statement about the "enclosed" balcony.
RoutemanDan Posted June 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2013 The side balcony is sort of enclosed.
marelind Posted June 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2013 I posted on your repeat post. The enclosed balcony means there is some of the metal rail around the edges of the balcony. Some people don't like being in a cabin with an enclosed balcony. It has never bothered me. Yes, that cabin has priviledges to use the Haven. Here are pictures of the front balcony and the side balcony.

SeaHunt Posted June 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2013 I am still a little confused why the bold red statement about the "enclosed" balcony. This side view screencap from another video tour might help explain what they mean :): Look around the 2:52 mark Edited to add: Oops, looks like you already got your answer while I was still typing LOL
perkydebrajean Posted June 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted June 8, 2013 My daughter and I stayed in that cabin last summer for our cruise. I absolutely loved that side balcony! I spent a ton of time out there, including each morning with my cup of coffee. It's not located in the Haven but you've got access to it. They'll love it! darrengs Posted June 8, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2013 We stayed in this cabin in 2011, it is a great cabin, and it does have Haven access.
