RCI Raised Rates On Allure - October 2013-14

Recommended Posts

I wanted to book the Allure for a anniversary gift for my wife and as we had considered the same exact Eastern Itinerary for 2013, when I priced for 2014, and booking this far out, it did NOT qualify for the WOW sale AND the price per person for the same exact balcony cabin went up by $200. I can't believe the rate has gone up that much when booking a year and a half out. I guess I'll just wait and see if the rate comes back down to reality.

Prices go up and down all the time.. depends on fuel costs, depends on the demand they anticipate going forward. We have booked with RCI in the past and seen the rates go down and called and gotten the lower rates as long as we were not past our final payment date. Our upcoming trip on the Allure--July 7-- was booked at a time we had to pay for the whole cruise at once, about 8 weeks ago. Three weeks ago prices drop a lot and an email to our TA got us upgrade to a much nicer cabin and location. If we had waited, we could have saved the $$$$ but getting a nicer cabin was very good for us.
