RCI drinks package.

Hi.having had the drinks pckg on celebrity it has become a must have item for our cruise. Does anyone know if the RCI package is similar to celebrity in that if you buy a drink not included in the package you can pay the difference and also do you have to pre buy the package before boarding or can you buy it onboard ?

Unfortunately, if you order a drink that is not included in Royal's package, you get no credit, instead you pay full price.

 

You can purchase the package before the cruise or onboard. Price is the same.

The major drawbacks in comparison to Celebrity:

 

No "pay the difference" arrangement. Either it's included, or you pay the whole amount.

 

No Can sodas

 

No Fresh Juices

 

No Bottled Water

 

No specialty coffee

 

Back to the no "pay the difference", the only wine included is house wine. Terrible stuff.
