PathfinderEss Posted June 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2013 In Seattle how late can you board the ship? About 3:30 would be the latest if the ship is departing Seattle at 5 pm. Have a wonderful cruise.

Krazy Kruizers Posted June 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2013 Seeing as you are on the Westerdam, the ship leaves Seattle at 4 PM. You have to be on at 2:30 PM-- 90 minutes before the ship leaves. Lifeboat drill is at 3:15 PM.
jtl513 Posted June 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) You have to be on at 2:30 PM-- 90 minutes before the ship leaves. This is incorrect. Your information has to be on board 90 minutes before departure. You have to be on board in time for the lifeboat drill. Late arrivals often board just before the drill, especially at Port Everglades. U.S. government security regulations require us to submit certain guest information to law enforcement authorities at least 60 minutes prior to departure. To meet this requirement, we must have the necessary information in our records at least 90 minutes prior to departure. If we do not have your information by this deadline, you will be unable to sail. Guests are urged to complete the Online Check-in process before leaving home. Guests who wait to check in at the terminal risk being unable to sail even if they arrive at the terminal before the vessel leaves. You will be responsible for all costs you incur to join the vessel at the next port. Edited June 12, 2013 by jtl513
Typhoon1 Posted June 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Don't take any chances. Be there as early as possible. The ship waits for no one.

Are you saying that if you have completed the online check-in and arrive at the pier half an hour before departure, you will not be permitted to board? Somehow, I .. don't .. think .. so ..... igraf Posted June 12, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 12, 2014 The requirement, as you stated in your post, is the submission of the guest information by a certain time. This information is often submitted by the passenger online days prior to departure. Denial of boarding is not directly tied to the muster (lifeboat) drill. There have been many cases where ships have waited for delayed flights, etc. Having said that, it is a good idea to be on board in time for the muster drill. igraf This is incorrect.
