White Pass Rail -- Sit on which side?

I remember when I went on an Alaska cruise a couple of years ago and viewed this board often to prepare, that there were posts recommending sitting on one side vs the other on this train. I did a search but must not have put in the right words. Didn't find it. Can someone let me know please? My parents are on the cruise now and I'd like to let them know.

Thanks

Thanks, Murray. I can't believe my parents didn't tell me they were going on this trip until the day before they left! There would have been so much for them to learn from this board!

Anyway, taking this quick view through the recent posts has brought back so many wonderful memories of my trip. Nice to "read" you all again.

Happy travels to all! I'm off to Tahiti on a back-to-back in August. Can't wait!
