Corkage charges upon embarkation in European ports?

Has enforcement of the wine policy (one 'free' bottle of wine/pp) been implemented in the European ports?

We were on the Crown in May 2013, embarked Southampton and took wine on board. We stopped in France, Spain and Guernsey, brought wine back on board and were not stopped. I think that you have just got to be sensible.

Boarding the Crown in 11 days so we are happy to hear this. We like to bring a little wine back from our ports.:)
