People Don't Want to Dress Up Any More? Of Course They Do.

I was in a men's clothing store which also rents tuxcidos and they had a camelflodge vest. I asked if they ever rented any and the lady said mostly to high schoolers for proms but had at least one wedding us them. I asked if it was a shotgun wedding but she was not amused.

So maybe we'll see some of these soon.

You never can tell. Maybe we'll get a sniper in full ghillie suit as well (with self-tied bow tie of course)

Could you expand on this please. What form did the interpretation take.

Not that I am against this, far from it, but the code does not seem to allow much deviation.

The informal nights......cocktail dresses, stylish separates or similar for the ladies.......there were ladies in little black dresses and in brightly coloured skirts and tops that I would consider casual but may be what others consider dressing up, and everything in between.

Men - jackets were from suits and blazers, linen and chino types and then a vast array from orange to lime green to yellow ........Not my cup of tea but a jacket nevertheless. As I said before different countries have different fashions and different interpretations of what is elegant or not!

I think I've figured out what mercury51 may be on about. A while ago one of our German friends posted something about some sort of rock-group booked, and the promoter was advertising that Cunard would be tolerating (what's lager-lout in German?) behaviour, even though it wasn't a full-ship charter, And Cunard was making no effort to allow existing passengers to cancel. It struck me as pretty blatant money-grubbing disdain for existing customers expecting a Cunard experience.

I also was disgusted with the casino when I was last on QM2, but it only took me about $30, not $3000. I don't use alcohol, that seems much more important to merc than it was to me.
