Champagne greeting

[A Sixth?]

Not everyone goes to sailaway -- but everyone gets on the ship. I like the champagne when I first get on -- I can say ahhh, I'm finally on vacation. Usually miss sailaway party on deck. I'm on balcony, or getting a look around the ship or showering. Guess it is another cost-cutting measure not to give the champagne to all passengers embarking. Too bad.

 

While I usually go to sail away I agree, I like that "ahhhh... I have a glass of bubbly in my hands I must be of vacation...."

 

FWIW There were drinks offered upon boarding this past May 29 on the Equinox.

As soon as I got on the ship and was handed a glass I felt like I was truly on holiday, I would hate to see it stop.

 

I wasn't aware of any sail away parties on Equinox in May :confused:

 

In fact that was one thing I missed, I really enjoy the sail always on P and O

 

There wasn't any deck parties either, I put it down the the late departures from port and the weather.

Personally we'd like to have one when we board and then another at sailaway ! :)

 

Seriously, I would still prefer to be handed a glass when we board - it makes it special and makes sure that everyone gets a great welcome.
