Enchantment Cabin 8093

Recommended Posts

So for leg 1 of our B2B, we were in cabin 8093 (inside cat K). I know fellow cruisers like to get as much info as possible on certain cabin selections, so I have included my impressions as well as some pics.

I liked deck 8 for its convenience to pool deck and solarium but it is a few decks up from nightly entertainment (casino, Schooner Bar, Bolero's, theater were all spread out on decks 5 and 6). Our cabin was the first cabin down the hall from the Centrum. While we were conveniently midship you can definitely hear the goings-on in the Centrum at night. If you are an early to bed kind of person not light sleeper, noise could be an issue for you. The cabin layout is a little different in that you walk into the room on the side instead of having the bathroom and wardrobe on each side. Having the door in the side wall seemed like there was wasted space in doing so. The cabin had plenty of storage, no mini fridge, equipped with hair dryer, flat screen TV. Since this cabin is not in the stretched area, we had the dreaded shower curtain. I did not find the bed as comfortable as on other ships and my pillows were a bit on the flat side, but certainly nothing to complain about. I still had plenty of good nights' sleep. Overall the cabin is a decent choice for the budget minded cruiser. The only real downside for some would be the noise.ImageUploadedByForums1372694208.168048.jpg.96779af20161accc0c9f425e5c7b0893.jpg

That was our favorite room on Enchantment. It's equivalent (8035) is our favorite inside on Grandeur. To us the split room made it feel a touch larger. It also made it easy to put any extra pieces of luggage at the end of the room and have it out of the way (in the other split layout rooms the closets were across the back instead of down the side making it difficult to store luggage there). We never noticed any noice but then we were usually up until 11-12 pm listening to the music in the centrum. We rarely, if ever, had noise from the pool deck. The flat screen tv is definately something they put in during dry dock. We had a junior suite the last time we sailed this ship, which was right after drydock.

For my mom who uses a cain, it was nice - easy to get to the centrum elevators but not far from the windjammer, where we eat all of our meals.

We have had 7093 (right under your cabin) two times on the Enchantment. And we really liked it. We had no noise issue. Dreaded shower curtain yes, but it was not that big of a problem and we really liked the cabin. Very convenient location too. I did not like the way they crammed the new floor to ceiling OV cabins in after the 2012 refurbishment and put that wall in.

We weren't really impressed by the sideways room. There was no where to sit and it seemed like a lot of space was wasted.

I wouldn't voluntarily pick it again. I wouldn't stay away because of it, but I wouldn't choose that if other cabins were an option.
