[SIZE=4]We're very pleased to welcome Nathan Philpot, Sales & Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. He's graciously accepted the invitation to answer YOUR questions about cruising on Fred. Olsen's fleet.

Here's a little bit about Mr. Philpot:

[/FONT][/SIZE][FONT=Verdana][SIZE=4]Nathan Philpot[COLOR=navy] [/COLOR]was appointed Sales & Marketing Director of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in September 2011. His role encompasses the majority of passenger facing functions including itinerary planning, pricing, onboard experience, brand development, distribution, ecommerce, reservations and customer service. His previous positions include Managing Director of Elegant Resorts, Head of Marketing for long haul specialists, Kuoni, and, most recently, Group Sales & Marketing Director of Page & Moy Travel Group. [/SIZE][/FONT]


[FONT=Verdana][SIZE=4] [/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Verdana][SIZE=4]His career has taken him to all parts of the UK and beyond, initially with P&O and later Eurotunnel where as Marketing Manager he introduced a number of CRM initiatives including a pan-european loyalty programme. He spent four years with Kuoni, heading up its Sales & Marketing department, responsible for all its commercial agent relationships, brand development, database marketing and ecommerce. He oversaw the company’s most profitable years in 2002 and 2003 as well as winning many trade and consumer awards including the World’s Best Tour Operator for Kuoni.


He also worked on the agency side for four years as a director of WEXAS in Knightsbridge and set up a new online cruise business – White Star Cruises, recently renamed the Luxury Cruise Company. He was Managing Director of Elegant Resorts, the UK's leading luxury tour operator, where he oversaw the transition from an independently owned company to one owned by Thomas Cook. At the Page & Moy Travel Group who was responsible for all three of the group’s brands: Travelsphere, Just You and Page & Moy – repositioning and developing the brands as well as being responsible for all customer acquisition and retention as well as running a 100 FTE call centre. [FONT=Verdana][SIZE=4] [/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Verdana][SIZE=4]Aged 42, Nathan recently married and lives close to Fred. Olsen’s Ipswich offices, at East Bergholt in Suffolk, where he also went to school. A keen cricketer and footballer who still plays every weekend, he is also a supporter of Ipswich Town Football Club. [/SIZE][/FONT]
