Shopping near the pier?

I was just wondering what kind of shopping we can expect to find near the pier? We have a tour that will take up much of the day, but would love to poke around a few shops before returning to the ship. I am especially interested in local handcrafts.

You'll find lots off souvenir shopping right there in the Bridgetown Port's cruise terminal building

where many local stores have Duty Free outlets!

Suggest you save your shopping time for after your island tour,

so you don't have to lug your purchases all over!

Do it when you're returning to the ship in the afternoon.

There's even a bar! :D

We will be there on a Sunday.

I've read somewhere that the shops in town will be closed.

Can anyone confirm this?

What time of year will you be here?

In November, December and January

our shops are usually open for Sunday business,

but then there are often several ships in town

and it's $$$-$ea$on!

We will be there on Sunday Feb. 9, there will be one other ship in port with us that day.

Thanks!

There is Pelican Village shops just outside of Bridgetown cruise ship terminal. Local handmade crafts, etc.

I too thought this sounded nice, but I found this on another post

"was just there on a Sunday and Pelican Village was closed" Jan 2013
