Jalex63 Posted July 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2013 Looking at taking an upcoming voyage on the Prinsendam and am looking at Ocean View staterooms on the main deck aft in the 380's area that would be directly below the main dining room. Looking for anyone who has had one of these staterooms to determine if there is are any noise issues coming from the dining room above?

Looking for anyone who has had one of these staterooms to determine if there is are any noise issues coming from the dining room above? I was in 381 and definitely had no noise issues, although it isn't DIRECTLY under the dining room. My sense is that the Prinsendam (at least the parts built for Royal Viking) were build to a very high standard and have better soundproofing than most cruise ships. arzz Posted July 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2013 We spent a month in 382 -- never heard the dining room or much of anything else -- but we did notice when we were coming into port (engine sounds) pretty much par for the course on the Prinsendam. The cabin itself was wonderful.
