Anyone been on sensation, what was your review?

All I can say is, a cruise is what you make of it. I have never had a problem on any ship. This is a smaller ship, but that makes it easy to navigate. Although I think finding your way around is part of the fun any how! The $1.00 Wheel of Fortune in the Casino really paid well, not only for my husband but for another young man on the cruise. The staff is wonderful as always. I never got to try the pasta station on the last trip, but heard many great reviews and considering how many people were waiting to eat there, I imagine it was great. The steak house was a real treat, extra but well worth it. There was a Mardi Gras themed part in the Atrium bar one night that was a riot, beads and all! As for deck chairs I never had a problem getting one. Either way, keep an open mind and make your own opinions! I hope you enjoy the Sensation as I have.

I don't think Carnival has that ship anymore.

Didn't they sell off those older ships?

Sensation is still definitely sailing for Carnival. Been on her twice and had a great time both times. Of course I can have a good time on all ships. :p

We just got off the ship yesterday. Although older (20 years) and smaller than the others in Carnival's fleet it is still in great shape.

Dining room food was great, lido food good for lunch not so good for dinner (as most lately)

Pool and slide area fun for kids.

Service very good ( better than some of the larger ships I have traveled with Carnival lately)

Shows were the same as any other Carnival production.

This was our Platinum cruise and enjoyed the perks. The Sensation will remain one of our favorites as we got married on her 11 years ago.

For the price and short cruise itinerary. I would recommend for Anyone looking for a relaxing fun getaway.

Bon Voyage.

Went on the ship back in October with my boyfriend. We both enjoyed it for the most part. Food was good so no complaints there. Only one that I had was that it was way too cold in the staterooms. The ship only comes with an AC and it is not adjustable per stateroom so we froze every day in our room. You could "close" the vent, but that didn't help too much. It was the end of October and right after a hurricane in the Caribbeans.

very funny. The Sensation still sails year round to the Bahamas OP. I've been on her once. Set to board again in a few weeks. You will have a good time. IMO all of these cruiseships are huge. They've gotten bigger and grander, but the Sensation still has her place. Read the reviews and ask any other questions you might have. Lots of information for almost every ship on this forum. ;)

Does anyone know of a nice dark place to see the stars? We are on the August 11 sailing during the meteor shower (Aug 11-12-13) specifically to try to see shooting stars from sea. We have not been on the Sensation so we will have to look for a place to sit during the night. Anybody got an ideas? Thanks

The Sensation was my first cruise with Carnival, and you see what happened! I thought of all the cruises, the Sensation had the best food. I started out having a suite on the verandah level, above the lido, but since I figure I can cruise more often without one, I choose portholes on the Fantasy class ships now. When I cruised on her, there was not a water park area, the slide dumped you into the pool, and it is a Fantasy class, so no steak house. Have a great time!

The public areas of the ship are never that dark, but at the end of the lido deck in the aft, are two areas to sit and eat outside, we did a lot of sky watching the last time we were on a Fantasy class, also, there is a deck above the bridge, it may be darker out there. Good luck, it sounds like you enjoy the outside as much as I do.
