First Class Air is a great thing for us; -- 5 hour fight from Phoenix to Miami! We're going the full 180 days.

On the Marina they had free art classes. How about on this cruise?

Welcome aboard Beaudeau. There is a roll call thread for this cruise too.

Also note if you don't need or want to take the flights, that Oceania will give a $1000 pp air credit as a discount off the cruise price.

Well, Maria is a freelance translator and interpreter and has worked via internet on all of our cruises (we are Diamond Cunarders). BUT we found out that the Marina on our last cruise had blocked Skype, thus no live interpreting. Cunard ships allow skyping. "Unlimited Internet" may not be what you hope for. Will the Insignia block Skype?

Oh how I would love to do this (was drooling looking over all those ports!!!) I work remotely 90% of the time, but have found that those pesky timezone changes can be a real bear when our "standard" is EST (see me in Hawaii trying to make a 8am conference call at 3am HAST a few years ago).

I can picture the exchange with my boss now:

ME: Hey, I'm going to be taking a vacation starting Jan 9...

BOSS: Great! - where are you going?

ME: Slides itinerary across the desk (all 4 pages) :)

<uncomfortable pause while he peruses>

BOSS: Ummmm

ME: Well, I will have unlimited internet and can skype call so I'll just be "remote" for a few months.

BOSS: No.

ME: :(

Oh well, only 30 or so years before I retire....

There is no Artist Loft on Insignia. That doesn't necessarily mean there will be no art classes, but I can't think where they would hold them.

Greypanther and Jancruz, thanks for the help. We booked a C2 cabin yesterday and had to pay a 20% deposit. We received a booking discount of $1,500 each. So paying for a future cruise deposit on our last cruise saved us $3,000!

On one of our cruises they painted in Toscana. DH enjoyed his tablemate. None other than Jacques Pepin who is quite an accomplished artist. So it is possible. They had a show at the end of the cruise which was impressive.
