Epic Haven - Which deck?

Recommended Posts

Looking at an Epic trip for next year...

For anyone that has stayed in the Haven on the Epic..

Which deck (16 or 17) did you have a preference for?

Is it better to be on the second level of the Haven?

Or...no difference?

Thanks for any insight.

We loved 17030. A DOS with the largest balcony on the ship. Above us was Posh, so noise just before 9am and after 6. Nothing at night. The view was outstanding the wrap around balcony kinda like 15500 on the Gem. You could be part of the pool action or look out into the ocean! :D Just my thoughts,

and happy planning!

There is a pull-out sofa in the living room. Yes, it would be fine for two kids and private for the 2 adults in the bedroom as the door closes.

If you go, are we going to get all the great pictures we are used to getting?

I have stayed both decks 16 and 17. I vote for 16 for several reasons. Deck 16 has the Epic Club restaurant, Epic lounge, Concierge desk, and Haven facilities. But most important to us was not having to use the elevator or go up or down 2 flights of stairs to deck 15. Deck 15 on Epic is the main pool deck that will also transfer you to the spa or Spice. It is easy to go up or down one flight of stairs instead of waiting forever for an elevator. 2 flights of stairs sometimes makes you wait for the elevator LOL ;)

16001 and 17001 are 2 bedroom suites that are wider than the other 2 bedroom suites on Epic. The additional space is very noticable in the 2nd bedroom and living room area. We slept 5 in the suite with no problems. Everyone had a bed and their own TV. The suites come with a solarium so if you dont like that maybe the suite is not for you. But the forward views are very nice. You can see my videos of the suite and bathroom on youtube or reseach the reviews here since many have documented these suites. They feel like mini owners suites IMO.
