Concerned about Port of Houston

We are booked on a cruise going out of Houston. We have looked at online maps of parking. It doesn't look like there will be enough parking for passengers and there leant look like there is my private off site parking.

Anyone know nothing about the Houston port?

There is another post on this topic. Looks like one parking garage right now with more planned as the port grows.

The POH website says that they will be increasing the amount of parking spaces.

I spoke to a lady at the port yesterday. She said there would be 1200 parking spots available when cruising starts. NCL will not sail out of the POH until 2014.

Excited about our NCL Jewel cruise booked for Jan 2015, we decided to check-out the cruiseport this past May (2013). There is a LOT of construction going on in the area and plans for expansion seem to be moving along. I feel certain that by the time NCL Jewel arrives in port, things will be good to go! I can't say for certain about how things will go for Princess cruises embarking before that. Maybe some traffic issues, but that can be expected in any port from what we have experienced.
