cuyahoga11 Posted July 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2013 I have always stayed at HIEX Rocky Point but I would like some ideas for something nice closer to the port. Any suggestions? TIA
JohninDC Posted July 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2013 Embassy Suites or the Channelside Marriot are two very nice options; the Marriott is almost walking distance to the port. Good luck! :)

Whoop98 Posted July 25, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2013 We enjoyed the embassy suites. The trolly is right out front so we went to Ybor city too.
77sue Posted July 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2013 If I stayed at the Embassy Suites could I take the trolley to get to the port?
Babablue Posted July 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2013 Yes, you could take the trolley. The trolley stops right in front of the port.

afcruiser Posted July 30, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 30, 2013 Yes, you could take the trolley. The trolley stops right in front of the port. Can you park a car at Embassy while your cruising?? How often does the trolley run and how long would it take to get to the port? Thanks in advance. Still in planning stages.:p
JohninDC Posted July 30, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 30, 2013 Can you park a car at Embassy while your cruising?? It's been a few years, but the last time I stayed at that ES they charged guests for parking, :( so I doubt they offer free cruise parking. Check www.parksleepfly.com or https://secure.stay123.com for hotels offering cruise parking deals. Here is a chart that shows some of the Tampa park & cruise hotels: http://www.parkingstay.com/p/tampa.html For cruise parking packages that include a shuttle both to the port and the return shuttle back to your car, check out these hotels located in the Rocky Point area: Holiday Inn, Tahitian Inn, Hampton Inn and Chase Suites. Good luck! :)

Good luck! :) Thanks. We'll most likely book at Chase Suites. Thought it might be fun to take the Trolley to the port. That would be a first.:p Thanks for the links. I love researching and reading reviews.
