visa information about vietnam.when we cruised with hal and star cruises in the

past to asia the cruise lines got us the vietnamese visas while we were on board.if anyone has sailed with celebrity to asia, did you have to get your own visas or did the ship do it for you when you docked in vietnam

just for a point of reference, I just got off the Sun Princess. we had 2 stops in Vietnam - the ship took care of the Vietnamese visas for and charged us each $31 USD. It was $30 for the visa and $1 for the processing fee. If you carry a passport for a country that doesn't require a visa for Vietnam, the ship charged $1 for the processing fee. Every passenger turned their passport in to the ship, we were given Vietnamese landing cards which were stamped when we got off the ship and then our passports were returned the day before disembarking in Singapore, so holding our own passports wasn't even an option.
