1:30 Flight departure from Miami

Cruising on Breeze in Feb. Never been to Miami before so I have no idea of airport distance and hotels. Flying in night before so I'm not worried about time...just a good hotel recommendation. Departure leaves Mia Intl at 1:30...Is this an OK time? Best method for a family of 4 to get their?

For transportation taxis will work fine. You might need a taxi van but they are available.

 

For the night before for the family the Hampton Inn might be nice and it includes a breakfast. Many other options are available including: Intercontinental, Marriott Marquis, Hyatt, Marriott, Doubletree and Holiday Inn Bayside to name a few.

 

If you stay at the Hampton Inn in Miami a short walk from there is Mary Brickell with a wide range of restaurant choices and also several stores.

 

Drive from airport these hotels is around 20 to 30 minutes and a taxi might be around $30.00 (not per person but for the taxi) before tip. Drive to the port might be $12.00 to $15.00 depending on where you stay at the hotels listed and a drive time of 10 minutes and to get from the port to the airport is a standard flat rate of around $24.00 per taxi before tip and a drive of around 15 minutes.

 

The timing of your return flight is perfect.

Our travel agent has always recommending booking a return flight from Miami after noon, so 1:30 p.m. should be fine!

I assume there will plenty of Taxis at the cruise terminal for the drive to airport?
