On the SS Clairvoyance? Posted April 1 ....as a joke

Seattle, Wash., April 1, 2011 — Holland America Line, in order to promote passenger safety, will no longer allow guests to bring their own wine aboard. Much drunkeness, which imperils other passengers has been observed. All luggage will be inspected at embarkation and any alcohol discovered will be confiscated and destroyed.

In order to better differeniate ourselves from other cruiselines, smoking will be allowed everywhere. There are many non-smoking competitors these days and we believe that positioning ourselves as the "smokers' choice" will be a huge revenue enhancer. Complimentary cigarettes will be available from your steward upon request.

In response to many surveys, our dresscode will be abolished. "Casual" will be the acceptable, and even encouraged, code of the day.
