curlyQ Posted July 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2005 Why "thank you" Ernest darling! I just ordered mine. Did you happen to notice that in the drop-down box under 'ship of choice' they still have "Caronia" listed? Ah! good ole Cunard - always one step behind in their own product. highcbob Posted July 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2005 Hello 'CurlyQ' I was on the Cunard web site this morning and I still found this on the first Queen Victoria: - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cunard ships - evolving from the QE2 to the new luxury ship Queen Victoria Cunard ships, in addition to inaugurating the Queen Mary 2, has refurbished the legendary QE2 cruise ship and has announced that its new 85,000-ton luxury ship Queen Victoria is scheduled to enter service in 2005. The ship Queen Victoria will be the second largest of the Cunard ships ever built. - - - - - - - - - - - - - How much more could the Cunard web-site be behind? guernseyguy Posted July 13, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2005 He ain't 'Ernest' , and he ain't no 'darling':D Wuell, 'Earnest' was Victorian code for 'confirmed bachelors', as in Oscar Wilde punningly observed in 'The Importance of being Ernest'....so I couldn't possibly comment.......And he did complain about the QE2 when they gave him a cupboard for a stateroom (M5 to the impecunious)...... Calliope Posted July 15, 2005 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2005 I got my 2006 Cunard brochure today. I love the two page spread of thr "QE2's" boat deck. It sure looks like a Holland America ship's boat deck to me! Or maybe it's the QUEEN VICTORIA's? Then again, all those Vista class ships look alike. ;-) And in all seriousness, according to the new brochure, the QUEEN VICTORIA is due out in 2007. We'll see. juliecat Posted July 17, 2005 #12 Share Posted July 17, 2005 Did anyone else notice that they are no longer stating the single supplement for QM2? The brochure states that one must enquire. Does this mean they will finally start catering to their solo traveller demographic again? -Julia
jonmar Posted July 18, 2005 #13 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Can anyone with the 2006 brochure advise as to whether the one way air is still included in the fares?
