Sonchyne4U Posted August 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I am considering the Carnival Glory out of NY. We have never cruised out of NY. Where is the port located? Is it in NJ or NY. Very confused. Thanks.
Budget Queen Posted August 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2013 They sail out of NY, but then it could be out of Manhattan or Brooklyn.
marco Posted August 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Carnival sails out of the Manhattan terminal. The "official" address is 711 12th Ave. There are 4 berths, so depending on which berth the ship is docked in, you're pretty much on 12th AVe at the foot of 52 -55 St. The terminal is just a couple of blocks north of the "Intrepid" air craft carrier museum and the Circle Line day cruise terminal. It's only about a 10-15 minute $10-$15 cab ride from Penn Station and/or Port Authority, if you are arriving in NY via either of those. If you're staying at a Manhattan hotel pre-cruise, you should have no problem just telling the driver "Manhattan cruise ship terminal". IF you google "New York Cruise Ports" it gives you directions and information about the Manhattan terminal and the cruise ship terminal in Brooklyn as well.
