The Islanders Posted August 20, 2013 #26 Share Posted August 20, 2013 DW and I love GSC. Last time we were there we did the Eco-Tour excursion and that was really fun and interesting.
sinclaj Posted August 20, 2013 #27 Share Posted August 20, 2013 It sometimes depends on the ship whether you can book a clamshell at the excursion desk or just when you get there. We have tried to do it at the desk once and they said there are lots of them and to get them once on the island. We have done just that and there are lots of them. But -- those who go early, get the ones in the better locations.
quercus alba Posted August 20, 2013 #28 Share Posted August 20, 2013 It's like a bbq buffet for the meal. Of course it's NCL's private island, so they are making the food. (I don't know what the stuff was down by my pickle but it was so good I had to go back for more) Couscous with black beans.
Cruiser Bruiser Posted August 21, 2013 #29 Share Posted August 21, 2013 It sometimes depends on the ship whether you can book a clamshell at the excursion desk or just when you get there. A worker on the island did offer to set up a clamshell for us, but it would have been on the edge of the beach area and well to the back, so we just went with a lounger. It worked out fine; I just applied insane amounts of sunblock. :p
Bruce CountyJay Posted August 21, 2013 #30 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Thought I'd try GSC after improvements. Lovely, but not as much shade as there used to be and couldn't find hammocks to relax in.
tammy531 Posted August 21, 2013 #31 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Has anyone done the kayaking excursion here? My son loves to kayak (he is 13) so we were looking at that. We also have a 9 year old so I didn't know if it would be too much for him (age listed on excursion is 8). sent from my Samsung galaxy s3
